This painting is the final piece in a series created during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown. It was painted closer to May, after months of overwhelming news and constant fear surrounding the pandemic.

At one point, I realized that I hadn’t just been affected by the virus itself, but by the constant flow of information—the number of cases, deaths, and the ever-growing fear. This information became a virus of its own, infecting my mind.

In response, I decided to take a break from the news and social media. This painting represents the “infovirus”—the overwhelming, anxiety-inducing information that became as contagious as the virus itself. The image depicts a COVID molecule, with its tentacles connected directly to a person’s head, symbolizing how this constant influx of information invaded our minds.
