About the Artist

Marina Shalyapina, artistically known as Mia Shaly, is a Cypriot-Russian visual artist with a contemporary and unforgettable style. Originally from Moscow, she has been passionate about painting since childhood.

Since 2011, Marina has made Cyprus her home, drawing inspiration from its beautiful landscapes and amazing people.

Mission & Style

In 2018, Marina launched her personal registered art brand, Mia Shaly, and developed her unique style – Shalyism.

Her paintings are known for their vibrant colors and deep meanings, with each piece created to bring warmth, beauty, and positivity into people’s lives.

Creative Process

Marina combines her background in architecture (Architectural Degree, 2001) and an Arts Enterprise Diploma (2013) with the vision of her inner child.

Her works invite viewers to explore universal themes of love, joy, and life’s fleeting moments.

Social Mission

Marina deeply believes in the power of art to uplift, connect, and inspire change.

Her dream is to help transform Paphos into a cultural hub of Cyprus and to have her artworks featured in major museums worldwide, influencing future generations and securing a place in the history of 21st-century art.
